McBride & Ho Lead Men's Tennis To Season Opening W!

On Sunday, April 2nd Men's Tennis earned a W in their first match of the season against Region 15 rival Nassau CC at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY.  The closely contested match resulted in a final score of 4-3 in favor of FIT.  Freshman Joey McBride impressed with a straight sets 6-1, 6-1 victory in first singles while fellow freshman Simon Ho earned a hard-fought 2nd singles victory 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 with a score of 10-3 in the third set tie break.  The duo then teamed up to win an exciting back and forth 1st doubles match by a score of 8-6 cementing the overall team victory for FIT!

The team looks forward to their next match to take place on Saturday April 15th 12pm at Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY
