(Ulster, NY) The men's tennis team played their third match of the season this past Saturday, at Ulster County in Upstate New York. The results of the match determined whether or not the Tigers will be making an appearance at the Regional Tournament in the end of April.
With the sun shining and a week of successful practices under their belt, the Tigers arrived at a rather windy Ulster County with one goal in mind. "We've got an incredible possibility to make it to Regionals today" said coach Lynn Cabot, who was feeling even more hopeful after learning news that Ulster's 5th and 6th singles players had to forfeit their match creating a clean slate for the Tigers to begin on.
All four players from FIT brought their passion to the court which resulted in a triumphant 5-1 overall win over Ulster County. The win secured the teams spot in the regional tournament.
Third singles Zach Buell commented "As a team we really pulled together today to play extremely well in difficult conditions. I'm so glad we were able to get this win so that we can go to Regionals".
