BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Women's Soccer team erupted for five second-half goals to surge past The New School, 6–1, in an exciting non-conference matchup this afternoon.
Rita Gonçalves opened the scoring in the first half, giving the Tigers an early edge heading into halftime. After the break, FIT's offense caught fire—Kendall Fernaays, Lydia Tung, Antonia Renzi, Abby Rufino, and Hithasha Lakshman each found the back of the net, overwhelming The New School with relentless attacking play.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, September 28, traveling for a Region 15 matchup at Suffolk Community College.
