Over the weekend, the FIT Tiger Women's Tennis Team competed in the NJCAA DIII National Championship Tournament at the Peachtree City Tennis Center located in Peachtree City, GA. Over the course of the four-day tournament, the team of six singles players and three doubles partners earned 18 total team points, finishing as National Champion Runners-Up, tied with Camden County College for that honor. This was FIT's 5th National Championship Runner-Up finish in school history, after having most recently finished in second place nationally in 2016.
The following Tiger team members were recognized with All-American honors for having advanced all the way to their respective national championship singles and doubles matches listed below:
4th Singles - National Championship Runner-Up & Second Team All-American
5th Singles - National Championship Runner-Up & Second Team All-American
3rd Doubles - National Championship Runners-Up & Second Team All-Americans
Adding to the already impressive list of awards were Frederica Marlow who was named Spirit of the Competition Award winner and Coach Lynn Cabot-Puro who was named Coach of the Tournament for her efforts coaching the team to a National Championship Runner-Up!
