This past weekend the women's tennis team attended the Region XV Championship. Though the team will not be attending nationals this season, they worked hard, pushed through, and demonstrated excellent teamwork. There were some close matches, and impressive shots throughout the day. Alexis Hoffman was able to win her 5th singles semifinal match, advancing to the 5th singles regional final.  

The rest of the team played hard with Sophia Pisane looking very impressive in her 3rd singles semifinal loss, dropping a close match to her Suffolk Community College opponent 3-6, 4-6. 

Overall, the team fought hard this season, developed a great relationship with one another and grew better each day.  Sportsmanship and teamwork was always a priority, and this season was an excellent learning experience.  The team consisting of all first year players looks forward to getting back to competing next fall.  With a full season of experience and the rest of the off season to continue to improve, the team is looking forward to putting FIT Women's Tennis back at the top of Region15 Competition in 2022.
