The FIT Cross Country team traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the NJCAA Division III National Championship race in John Hunt Park. The team's hard work throughout the season paid off, as they ended the season with impressive performances all around.
Top finisher for the Tigers was Kimiko Quayle who placed 7th out of 98 runners in the women's 5k. Quayle finished with a time of 20:09.60, a time good enough to earn All-American honors! The second female finisher, Kaylee Lupowitz placed 40th at 23:12.80. Fueled by Quayle and Lupowitz, the FIT Women's team earned a top-10 national finish placing 8th overall! Solo mens runner Matthew Pollackov completed the men's 8k with a time of 32:16.30, approximately 30 seconds off his 8k PR.
The entire coaching staff of Howard Lindsay (Head Coach), Bianca Rey (Assistant Coach) and Andrea Distefano (Team Manager) are proud of the team's performance at Nationals as well as their improvement from the beginning of the season.
