Claire Anvelt Steps up for FIT but the Tigers Go 0-2 on the Weekend with Losses to Nassau and Dutchess

Claire Anvelt Steps up for F.I.T. but the Tigers Go 0-2 on the
Weekend with Losses to Nassau and Dutchess

Garden City, Long Island - - On Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm the F.I.T. Tigers took on Nassau
Community College. F.I.T played the entire match with no subs and only ten players.
Sophomore Claire Anvelt stepped up for the Tigers by jumping into action in goal minutes
before kickoff. Anvelt had over 25 saves in the match for her first appearance in goal.
Kayla Murphy had two goals and Lisa Maybie net one for Nassau in their defeat over the
tigers.

The Tigers will return back to action on Sunday September 10, 2017 at 1:00pm in a Home Match
against Dutchess Community College at Kingsborough Community College.

Manhattan Beach, New York - - On Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm the F.I.T. Tiger played in an
overtime thriller. The Tigers played the entire match with only eleven players. Captains Claire
Anvelt So., Katherine Amato So., and Isabel Rodela Fr. led their team for a second day with
no substitutions.

At the end of regular play both teams entered the field for overtime. Karen Rothdeutsch scored
for Ductchess Community College 39 seconds into the first period of overtime play.

The F.I.T. Tigers falls to 0-3 on the season. The Tigers will return back to action this weekend
on an away trip to Maryland with games on both Saturday and Sunday.
