"Katherine (Katie) Amato is a transfer student from the University at Buffalo, but this is her first year playing. She previously played for both her high school on Long Island, as well as an outside team. She has been playing since she was young. This is Katie's second year at FIT, majoring in Interior Design. 

Her previous coach, Mike Davicino, had inspired her to always play each game as if it was her last, and to always give her all at practices. She is selfless on the field and always has her team's best interest at heart. Katie looks forward to contributing her best to the FIT team. When she is not playing soccer, you'll find her drawing, or binge watching the HGTV channel. She is also a very passionate makeup artist. 

Katie receives a huge amount of support from both her parents, Karen and Jimmy, as well as her older brothers Brian and Stephen. Her extended family and close friends also provide the same amount of support."
