Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Long Island, New York - - The FIT Tigers finished their season with a regional record of 8-4, and the most wins in program history.

FIT fell short to the reigning champions Nassau  Community College in the Region XV Championship Match on Saturday October 21, 2017.  Fashion Institute of Technology beat the #2 seed Dutchess Community College in order to earn their spot in the Championship Game. Mara Herbert and Izabela Cunha scored a goal each to edge the Tigers to a 2-1 victory.  Nassau Community College won the Region XV title with a 4-0 win over FIT.  Despite the excellent goal keeping of sophomore Chloe Strickland (13 saves), Hannah Woodward, and Kayla Murpy notched a goal each for Nassau while Diana Lemus netted two in the victory.  

When asked about her take on the season first year Head Coach Julia Bazi commented, "It's been a great first season for myself and my coaching staff. I've never been so proud of a group of ladies like I have with this team! The dedication and hard work they put in everyday is what made this season such a successful one. Our four seniors, Katherine, Mara, Claire and Chloe, left on a high note and it will be hard to replace such talent, heart and leadership. Extremely proud of them and the whole team".  Athletic Director Keith Heron added, "It was an exciting and successful season.  The level of dedication, commitment and positive team chemistry that this team had will be remembered for a long time.  I can't wait to see what lies ahead for our team next year!"
