WHEN DOES THE COMPANY REHEARSE?
The company rehearses each Tuesday 8:30pm - 10pm and Sunday 12pm - 3pm in the Dance Studio (Room BX28). Just before upcoming shows we extend our Sunday rehearsal hours and include 2 days for tech rehearsals.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AUDITIONS?
Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester. You will learn a combo and have the opportunity to do some improvisation. Feel free to bring any shoes with you to show off your special skills if you’d like (ie: Tap, Point). There is no need to wear any specific clothing for the audition.
DO STUDENTS CHOREOGRAPH FOR THE COMPANY?
Yes, in addition to bringing in professional guest artists from around NYC, students are able to choreograph and perform their own work.
WHAT KIND OF DANCE DOES THE COMPANY PERFORM?
The company brings in guest artists to teach classes of various genres. We perform various genres as well. Some include: Hip hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and more.
