Marshall Earns 2025-26 SUNY NJCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honors

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After another standout season in and out of the pool, FIT sophomore Isabel Marshall has been named the 2025-26 SUNY NJCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

A Photography and Related Media major from Burlington, Ontario, Marshall carries a 3.72 GPA while continuing to lead the Tigers as one of their top performers.

Marshall put together an impressive sophomore campaign, beginning with a strong showing at the Herkimer Invitational, where she was named Top Performer after winning three events. She followed that up with a dominant performance at the Region 3 Championships, capturing four individual titles in the 50-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly, and 100-yard freestyle.

She continued to deliver at the national level, earning three top-10 finishes at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving National Championships, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly.

This marks Marshall's second straight SUNY Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor, adding to what has already been an impressive collegiate career. Her ability to balance success in the classroom and in competition continues to set her apart.

The SUNY Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize student-athletes from across SUNY institutions who excel both academically and athletically. Honorees are selected based on GPA, accomplishments, and overall performance throughout their careers.

The awards span 29 sports and are presented throughout the academic year. Each sport's honoree is then eligible for the overall SUNY Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, which will be announced in mid-July.
