Brooklyn, NY – The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Women's Soccer team fell in its home opener on Sunday afternoon, dropping a hard-fought match to Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) at Kingsborough Community College soccer field. 

The visiting Hawks struck early, finding the back of the net in the 12th minute and maintaining strong offensive pressure throughout the opening half. Mohawk Valley carried a 5–0 lead into halftime before adding a sixth goal in the 65th minute. Despite persistent effort and battling through rainy conditions, the Tigers were unable to break through, and the contest concluded in a 6–0 result.

FIT will look to rebound on the road when they visit Brookdale Community College on Saturday, September 13.
