Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The FIT Tigers Women's Soccer team put forth a determined effort on Sunday afternoon but came up short in a 3-0 loss to Suffolk County Community College in a Region XV matchup held at Kingsborough Community College.
The match opened with a strong display of defense and midfield control from both sides. FIT held their ground through the first half, creating chances and limiting Suffolk's opportunities, sending the game into halftime locked at 0-0.
The breakthrough came in the 70th minute, when Suffolk's No. 9 broke the deadlock with a well-placed finish. Suffolk capitalized on the momentum, with the same player adding two more goals to complete a decisive second-half hat trick.
Despite the final score, the Tigers showed resilience and competitive spirit throughout the match, battling until the final whistle.
The Tigers will look to bounce back in their next Region XV contest on Thursday, October 2, when they travel to face Suffolk County Community College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
