Swimming Impresses at Region 3 Championships

During the Tigers first showing at Region 3 Championships in four years, the women's team took 2nd place and the men's team finished in 5th. Competing at this meet not only yielded great team results, but many individuals achieved season best times towards national championship qualifications.

In the 100 freestyle, Isabelle Lange posted a season best 57.99 and Mia Cunningham posted a 1:11.15. Cunningham then swam the 200 free in a time of 2:47.06 good enough to meet multiple National Championship qualification standards,  including the 100 and 200 freestyle, during her first season as a competitive college swimmer.

The Tigers women's relay teams were all able to meet national qualifying times as well meaning that all team members who participated at Regionals will get an opportunity to participate in the  NJCAA National Championship Swim Meet to take place March 6th - March 9th at Indian River State Aquatics Center located in Fort Pierce, FL

The Tigers are excited for the upcoming National Championship meet, and the coaching staff / Athletic Department are all incredibly proud that the team's hard work and dedication during the year was demonstrated at regionals where the athletes performed to the best of their abilities!

GO TIGERS!!  🐯🥇
