Tigers Hit Their Stride With a Big Win Against BMCC
October 10th
This past Thursday, the Tigers played a hard-fought match against their local NYC Region 15 foe the Borough of Manhattan Community College Panthers. Madison Nguyen led the team's offensive attack with 11 kills and 6 aces. Madison also contributed 10 digs and 1 block defensively for a very well-rounded effort. Kristina Kwitzer stepped up big defensively with 34 digs, while Cassidy Stone distributed 26 assists and Anna-Katherine Harman turned in a very strong 14 dig, 3 ace, and 1 block performance of her own.
The total team effort resulted in a very close 3-2 victory by the scores of 23-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-9, 15-8 Coming back from the 2-1 set deficit to win sets 4 & 5 by convincing margins against a very tough Panther team is hopefully a sign of resilience to come. The team seems to be starting to gel and hit their stride at the right time… just as they enter the home stretch of the season! Stay tuned for their next upcoming game which will be Senior Night, this Thursday, October 13th at 7pm right here in the FIT Main Gym when the Tigers will again face off against the BMCC Panthers in a big Regional match! Come cheer on your seniors in their last regular season game of the year!
GO TIGERS!!
