Tigers Battle Through Injuries to Finish the Season Strong

Box Score Tigers battle through injuries to finish the season strong

FIT Tigers battled against Rowan Gloucester Owls, on Sunday, October 7th. It was a tough game for the Tigers due to their goalkeeper, Emilia Burbano De Lara being injured. In addition, Rebeka Bonilla, one of the Tigers' starters came out with a wrist injury early in the game. Nevertheless, the Tigers battled hard and fought until the very end. Thankfully, Fiona Brownell and Haley Tarazona stepped up to play in net. With no goalkeeper background they both gave it their all. Fiona had 9 saves and Haley had 10 saves. The Tigers fought hard on the field to keep it away from our net. This was done successfully in the second half when Katie Lillis scored with the help of Gigi L'Insalata. With the playoffs encroaching, the Tigers main priority is getting back to full strength and finishing the season strong. The Tigers will be back at Kingsborough on Saturday, October 13th for their senior game to play Monroe College.
