On Saturday, October 13th FIT Tigers played against Monroe College for their senior game. Monroe's goalkeeper, Julia Hermoso put up a fight and the Tigers were struggling to find the net at first. However, when Gabrielle L'Insalata scored the Tiger's first goal the goals did not stop. Gabrielle L'Insalata had five goals total with assists from Katherine Lillis, Haley Tarazona, Kiara Brown, and Dayna Lawrence. Katherine Lillis had one goal with the help of Eliza Clarke Burton. Another goal was scored by Nabi Williams assisted by Dayna Lawrence. Haley Tarazona's goal was assisted by Kiara Brown and Kiara Brown had her own goal assisted by Gabrielle L'Insalata. The Tiger's defense was strong as always, maintaining possession for majority of the game. Each player contributed on the field which made for a great game.
On Sunday, October 14th, FIT Tigers battled against Kingsborough Waves. Ending the season strong, the Tiger's finished their last game of regular season with a score of 8-0. Kingsborough's goalkeeper, Kelly Davan, was a strong and key player for Kingsborough. FIT Tiger's had 47 shots and 32 of them were shots on goal. Gabrielle L'Insalata had three goals, one being from a PK and the other two were assisted from Haley Tarazona. Katherine Lillis had two goals with assists from Gabrielle L'Insalata and Haley Tarazona. Haley Tarazona had two goals of her own with the help of Gabrielle L'Insalata and Kiara Brown. Lastly, Nabi Williams scored one goal with the help of Domenica Romo. The Tiger's goalkeeper, Fiona Brownell had a weekend of shutouts. As a whole, the Tigers had an amazing regular season, with the help of each and every player. They are more than ready to tackle Suffolk CC on Wednesday, October 17th, for their first round of playoffs on home turf.
