(Monroe, NY) The Tigers traveled to Bryn Mawr, Pa. (September 6, 2014) for a tri-match with Harcum College and nationally ranked Northampton College this weekend. FIT kept everyone on their toes when playing Harcum playing the full 5 sets and eventually winning 15-8.

Michelle Vainblat set 35 assists.
The tigers played a fantastic game but lost their second game in three sets, 25-19, 25-21, 25-14, to Northampton who is currently ranked 8
th in the nation. The scores of the match however are unreflective of the way the team played as a whole. Aggressive service helped
Michelle Vainblat earn 2 aces while
Nathalie Albersmeyer lead the Tiger's offense with 8 kills against their worth opponents. Over all it was a very good day for the team as they continue to gel as a team and prepare for the start of league play this Thursday. Head coach Daniel Levent commented "The weekend was a big step forward for us and we look forward to the challenges ahead." The Tigers hope to have a repeat of last year and see Northampton again at Nationals in November.
