(New York, NY) This Thursday, the Tigers celebrated their first home game of the season with a challenging match against the Division I Monroe Mustangs. All three sets started off point for point as both teams found their own tempos. Monroe slowly showed their strength, building a solid lead by the end of each set. FIT performed well, keeping a positive attitude and high energy throughout the entirety of the match, despite the score board.
"Teams like Monroe make you better both skill-wise and strategically. The team understands that games like these are necessary to become a better, more cohesive team, despite the outcome."- Assistant Coach Melinda
The Tiger's hit the road this weekend to start league play against Hostos and the Bronx Community College and expect to have happier outcomes.
