(Brooklyn, NY) A big win for the Tigers today with a 12-0 final against Kingsboro Community College. As the first official game of the regular season, the Tigers came out ready to get their first win of the season. They came out firing shots early in the game getting on the score board in the 15 mins of the game and didn't look back.
One of the most notable performances came from Midfielder Stephanie Dootz (#22) as she lead the team in scoring with an impressive hat-trick in the second half. The returning seniors Katlyn Barreiros, Carrie Godas, KaylaAnn Hall all scored for the tigers. With support from Freshman Rosie Witherell, Shelby Fender and Danielle Patane who were also able to find the back of the Kingsborough net. Freshman goalie Hannah Duncan was also able to record her first shutout of the season. The credit for that is shared by the Tigers defense who allowed zero shots on goal.
"Im proud to start the season with a win. The girls looked strong on the field, defensively we keep them away from our goal and got Hannah her first shut out... offensively we found the back of them net, but most importantly I was happy with the build up to those shots. We are going to work to keep this momentum as we go into our next game." - Head Coach Bevivino
The Tiger's will be looking to start a winning streak as they face Suffolk County College on Saturday at 1pm.
