(Brooklyn, NY) This past Saturday marked a strong start for the FIT women's soccer team in a close match against Union County College. With a deficit of 2 goals to none at the end of the first half, the team was eager to bounce back. Within just two minutes after the break, a goal by forward Tori Macrina put the Tigers back in the game and an intense second half ensued. Both teams pushed forward until the very end resulting in a 4-4 tie at the end of regulation. In the end, Union CC found the back of the net in overtime to end the game 5-4.
"Although we lost, I saw some great things out on the field today. Right now, we need to focus and prepare for our next match but after today, I know we are going far this year, and the players know it too." - Coach Bevivino
Still hungry for their first victory of the year, the Tiger's will be traveling to Maryland this weekend playing against Howard Community College on the 6th and CCBC Essex on the 7th.
