Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Briana Marquit

W. Soccer Comes Up Short to Nassau

(Brooklyn, NY) With the weather starting to get a bit colder, the girls headed to their home field in Kingsborough, Brooklyn for their first meeting against Nassau Community College.

From the moment the whistle blew, the game started with high intensity from both teams. The tigers held a strong defensive line and held their own against the conference lead team, Nassau. The girls kept up a good fight and managed to stay organized through out the game. Nassau found the back of the net three times in the first half and three again in the second half.  Hannah Duncan made several fantastic saves to keep the Tigers in the game and all together had an impressive total of 16 saves.

"It was a tough game, but I'm happy with the heart and determination the girls played with today, they really gave it their all. We have lots to work on for our rematch next weekend." Head Coach David Bevivino

The Tigers take on Nassau away at Mitchell Field next weekend. They hope to fight back and get a win in their upcoming rematch. The game in Uniondale Long Island is scheduled for 1pm next Saturday.
