(Mitchel Field, Mineola) The girls traveled this weekend to Mitchel Field Long Island, where they had the chance to take on Nassau Community College again. The highly anticipated rematch against Nassau had the Tigers pumped up and ready to play after suffering a loss from them the week before. The girls started the game with high intensity and worked the ball well through the midfield and had plenty of opportunities. Nassau had an opportunity and ended the half with one goal, following with two goals in the second half.
Hannah Duncan came through with an impressive total of 23 saves throughout the game. With a few chances the Tigers were never able to capitalize and ended the game with 0-3 loss.
"I'm happy with the improvement from last weekend" says Coach Bevivivno. "We played really well and I don't believe the score of the game reflects how the girls played."
"The girls worked really hard and gave it their all, and they really came together as a team" added assistant coach
Hugo Florez.
The Tigers plan to keep working hard and pull out a win for their game Sunday against BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College.) They play in Kingsborough, Brooklyn Sunday October 12.
