(Ulster, New York) FIT adds 4 wins to their record this weekend over Sullivan Community College and Orange Community College on Saturday and Ulster Community College and Dutchess Community College on Sunday. These wins add to the momentum as the Tigers steam roll towards Regional's.
Saturday started slow for FIT who went on to beat both Sullivan and Orange in three sets each 25-18, 25-11, 25-11 and 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 respectively. Outside hitter
Jenna Dickey led the offense with 11 kills against Sullivan with help from setter
Michelle Vainblat who posted 26 assists. Outside hitter
Nathalie Albersmeyer was close behind with 7 kills. Freshman middle blocker Steph Perpepaj served FIT ahead with 5 aces. Orange came to win against FIT, despite the ending scores rallies were long and intense, making FIT fights for every point. Dickey again dominated the offense with 12 kills and led the defense with 13 digs while freshman middle blocker
Darina Relyea and freshman right side hitter both posted 7 kills each. Vainblat added 23 assists to her season totals.

Sunday proved more difficult for the Tigers who went to four sets in their first game again Ulster Community College (25-11, 26-24, 18-25 and 25-23). Defense was key for FIT to pull through with the win, Dickey and Albersmeyer kept the back row locked down posting 20 and 18 digs respectively while
Michelle Vainblat proved setters can play defense earning herself 15 digs as well.

Darina Relyea powered through the block 10 times earned 10 kills. FIT carried the momentum from their first match into their game against Dutchess Community College winning in three set (25-21, 25-14, 25-18). Serving was FITs best weapon against Dutchess with Vainblat serving 7 aces and Albersmeyer serving 4 aces. Four more wins and one week closer to regional's, the FIT Tigers are becoming more focused each day.Â
