Milica Balandzic is in her first season as assistant coach at FIT.
A native of Montenegro, Milica played club volleyball in Montenegro for 10 years. As an undergraduate student, she earned full scholarships to play volleyball at Mineral Area College (2007-’09) and Rockhurst University (2009-‘11). She was named All-Region in 2008 at Mineral College.
Since graduating, she has served as a volleyball coach for the YMCA program in Kansas City (2011) and assistant coach for Jyle Volleyball in Finland from September 2012 to September 2013.
She also coached at the middle school level with Avenues World School and led them to the 2014 A.I.P.S.L. Middle School Volleyball Championship. Â
Milica has earned a Master’s of Science (May 2014) in Biology of Physical Activity with a concentration in Sport Coaching and Fitness Testing from the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland.

She has a Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration in Sport Science, Physical Therapy, Health and Wellness from Rockhurst University.Â
