QUEENS, N.Y. – The FIT Tigers Track & Field team closed out its regular season at the Tom Ferrell Classic, hosted by St. John's University.
On the track, Mikayla Numkena turned in a season-best performance in the 1,500m, placing sixth with a time of 5:12.82. Anika Selover also delivered a strong showing in the event, clocking a season-best 5:16.68.
Elsa Marigliano punched her ticket to nationals in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 13:54.01—well under the qualifying standard of 16:09.59.
In the field events, Taiwo Adekunle recorded her top mark of the season in the shot put with a throw of 9.32 meters, qualifying her for the 2026 NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
On the men's side, Ryan Parker posted season-best times in both sprint events, running 12.05 in the 100m and 24.59 in the 200m.
The Tigers now turn their attention to the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 7–9 at Thomas R. Proctor Stadium.
