The FIT Dance Company had the amazing opportunity to participate in the American Dance College Association (ADCA) Conference from March 8-11th in Erie, Pennsylvania. As participants in the conference, Dance Company members were able to take a wide variety of dance classes from professional teachers and college dance professors from across the Northeast region. In addition to classes, the dancers performed in two new original premieres entitled "Sister," choreographed by Dance Company Director Kellyn Mylechreest and "tread lightly..." choreographed by Assistant Company Director, Lay'la K. Rogers.  On top of performing and participating in dance classes, company members were able to sit in on feedback sessions from adjudicators observing their work and learn choreographic tools to better their own creative works.  The company returned to FIT poised for the home stretch of the semester and continued preparations for their spring showcase, Elevate, to take place May 5th and May 6th in FIT's Haft Theater.   We are extremely proud of the dancers' participation in the conference as a whole, they represented the FIT Tigers beautifully and fiercely!
