In a thrilling showdown at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) on Thursday, October 12th, the Tigers took on BMCC in a battle that left spectators on the edge of their seats. The team, known this season for their resilience and determination, went the distance with BMCC in a nail-biting five-set match that showcased their unwavering spirit and competitive edge. 

Set 1: The Tigers carried high hopes of victory and were met with equally fierce competition from their hosts. BMCC managed to secure the win with a score of 23-25. 

Set 2: The Tigers continued to give their all but BMCC prevailed with a score of 20-25, putting the FIT Tigers at a 2-0 disadvantage. 

Set 3: This set marked a turning point in the match, as the FIT Tigers mounted a spirited comeback with a score of 25-17, narrowing the deficit to 2-1 in favor of BMCC. 

Set 4: With renewed energy and determination, the FIT Tigers delivered a dominant performance, winning decisively with a score of 25-13, leveling the match at 2-2. 

Set 5: The fifth and final set was a thrilling culmination of the contest, with both teams battling fiercely. In the end, the FIT Tigers emerged victorious with a score of 17-15, completing a remarkable comeback and securing the overall win. 

The FIT Tigers managed to turn the match around in spectacular fashion. Their epic comeback was a testament to their steady determination and the contributions of standout players like Caitlin Schildhouse #10 who contributed 10 kills, 5 aces, 10 digs and 1 block. Nina De Neve #1 also contributed significantly with 11 kills, 2 aces and 9 digs, showcasing her versatility on the court. Mary-Margaret Griffths #5 delivered an outstanding performance with 10 kills, 4 aces and 11 digs, proving to be a vital asset for the Tigers. Dionysia Mei Kourouklis #4 showed exceptional defensive skills with 12 digs and contributed 3 aces to the Tigers efforts. Lydia Tung #12 played a pivotal role as the team's setter, amassing an impressive 31 assists, 1 ace and 7 digs, ensuring the Tigers executed their plays effectively. 

The FIT Tigers impressive victory at BMCC is sure to be remembered as a defining moment of the season. The Tigers proved that they have what it takes to overcome challenges and secure thrilling victories on the court.
