Last Thursday evening, October 5th marked an exciting and memorable evening at the Fashion Institute of Technology when the FIT Tigers hosted a match against the Caimans of Hostos Community College.  The Tigers took advantage of their home court, and put on an impressive display of talent and teamwork, securing the victory in three sets. 

The Tigers set the tone for the evening in the first set, displaying a high level of performance  from the very beginning. Mary-Margaret Griffths, a standout player for the Tigers, showcased her skills with an exceptional pass and kill, putting her team on the scoreboard early.  Feeding off this momentum, Mary-Margaret led the team's offense the rest of the night finishing with 8 kills and 3 aces. Also contributing offensively were Nina De Neve (7 aces, 5 kills) and Caitlyn Schildhouse with 6 kills and 2 blocks at the net. Dionysia Mei Koruroukils stepped up defensively with 11 digs while Lydia Tung distributed 11 assists.

The Tigers look ahead to their next matchups on Thursday, Oct 12th for a 6pm match at BMCC and a big Region 15 Double Dual against Nassau Community College and the Monroe College Express to take place at Borough of Manhattan Community College on Saturday, October 14th with a start time of 12pm.  Come out and support your FIT Volleyball Team!
