FIT Women's Volleyball closed out the season playing home on Thursday October 25, 2018. At 7:00 PM faced the Suffolk Community College Sharks for a semi-final game to qualify for the league tournament.
Tigers started off strong with Freshman, Stephanie Berdon leading the team's offense with 4 kills and 6 assists along with Freshman, Megan Kelly leading the team with 3 aces and 7 assists. Libero, Jenna Butler led the team's defense with 7 digs and Berdon with 4. Tigers topped of the first set winning 25-17.
The Sharks kept up with the Tigers during set 2 and 3 with Berdon cumulating 9 kills and Butler with 4 digs. As a team the Tigers were able to cumulatively rack up 23 kills and defensively 11 digs. Tigers fell short both sets 22-25, 23-25.
A fire sparked for the Tigers as their passing was on point with the Tiger's serve receive and seeing digs from Butler, Berdon, and Truncale in the defense. Megan Kelly added 7 assists, Stephanie Berdon with 3 kills, and Paige Truncale adding 4 more kills to the Tiger's offense. Tigers won the 4th set 25-15.
Tigers fought hard during the 5th set against the Sharks but fell short 11-15. Stephanie Berdon lead the offense with 16 kills in addition to 11 digs and 23 assists. Megan Kelly also stepped in leading in assists with 28 and 9 kills. While Paige Truncale added an additional 10 kills to the offense and Jenna Butler leading the Tiger's defense with 18 digs.
