(Brooklyn, NY) For the second time this weekend the Tigers took their home field Sunday to play Kingsborough Community College for their last season game. After suffering a defeat against Suffolk yesterday, the Tigers were eager to come out and play hard for a win.
The Lady Tigers came out hard and fast in the first minute and
Emily Laroe quickly scored a goal in the 18
th second, giving FIT a 1-0 lead. The girls possessed and moved the ball well around the field, making quality passes and taking great shots.
Carrie Godas,
Katlyn Barreiros,
Stephanie Dootz, and
Tori Macrina all capitalized and found the net with class.
Brittany Furnari had a great play, dribbling through Kingsborough's back line and ripping a shot past the keeper. The final score was 8-0 and the Tigers now feel confident and ready to move into their playoff game Wednesday against Suffolk Community College.
"The girls played exactly how I wanted them to play, and I'm really happy with the energy they played with today. I hope we can keep this high energy and carry it into our game on Wednesday," said Coach
David Bevivino.
The girls will travel to Suffolk Community College this coming Saturday, October 22 for the first round of playoffs. They hope to get a win and move on in playoffs.
