Coach Centryll Scott brings over a decade of coaching experience across the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman levels, working with both men’s and women’s volleyball programs. In 2019, he led Teaneck High School’s Men’s Team to a standout 19–4 record — the program’s best season since his own as a player. That year, the team went undefeated in league play and earned their first-ever league championship. In 2022, he guided the same program to a 14–8 record and a program first ever advancement to the semifinals of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1 Tournament.
Beyond team success, Coach Scott is deeply committed to the holistic development of his athletes. He has played an active role in helping student-athletes pursue collegiate opportunities, with several earning offers from NCAA Division II and III programs.
A 2013 graduate of Teaneck High School, Coach Scott was a standout athlete, earning 1st Team All-League and 1st Team All-County honors in the Freedom Division. He continued his volleyball career at Penn State, where he competed with the Men’s Club Volleyball Team and contributed to top national finishes — placing 5th and 8th at the National Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships.
Coach Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Montclair State University. He is passionate about merging science and sports, and is especially interested in how data, biomechanics, and critical thinking can elevate athletic performance. Now in his first year at the collegiate level, he is eager to grow within the FIT Athletics program and contribute to its tradition of excellence alongside a distinguished coaching staff.
